Daybreak Canyon is a licensed “Green” Residential Treatment Center in Idaho that serves boys ages 12-17.  Our clients need a high level of support and supervision after unsuccessful attempts with less restrictive interventions such as wilderness programs, Therapeutic Boarding School, and other community based interventions. We offer a small owner operated facility with a maximum capacity of 22.

The foundation for everything is our belief in the 5 Pillars of Daybreak Canyon; Self, Family, Community, World, and Spirituality.  We believe that these 5 Pillars define each of us as human beings.  Focusing and developing stewardship in each of these areas leads to a healthy individual.

Our primary modality is experiential therapy.  We place youth in a variety of settings that challenge their views and enhance their interactions with each of the 5 Pillars.  We use recreational therapy to challenge youth.  We believe that through nurturing and challenging adventures we can push the limits of youth’s perception and encourage the development of stewardship within those areas.

Our off the grid, environmentally conscience, facility offers a perfect setting for a youth to learn more about cause and effect.  In everyday situations youth will learn how their decisions impact themselves, their families, the community, the world we live in.  We use extraordinary settings such as our international service trips or super outings to accentuate this knowledge.  We believe that a strong spiritual foundation can be grounding and guiding.

Mission:

We believe that hope is the catalyst for all change. We strive to take hope that exists in parents and youth alike and help it grow. We seek to facilitate a transformation into self-discovered stewardship over self, family, community, world and spirituality through nurturing and rewarding therapeutic adventures.
