Heritage is a private, not-for-profit, long term psychiatric residential treatment facility serving youth ages 12 through 18 with a wide variety of disorders, including: (1) Oppositional Defiant, (2) Anxiety, (3) Major Depression, (4) Bipolar, (5) Post-Traumatic Stress, (6) Psychotic / Schizophrenia, (7) ADHD, (8) Reactive Attachment (9) Aspbergers, and (10) Substance Abuse. Dual diagnosis treatment prepares these youth to engage in the recovery process, utilizing a Adisease-oriented abstinence model, while integrating psychiatric, residential treatment with crucial chemical dependency concepts. We offer a wide range of services with a comprehensive continuum of care ranging from an intensive support unit to specialty treatment units based on diagnosis, age, gender, and level of functioning. We have created a home-like environment for our youth and an organizational culture that supports relationships, fosters spirituality, encourages normalization in activities and opportunities, and promotes respect and caring.

Our Mission is to advance the rehabilitation of our youth by achieving a quality care environment. Our Vision is to maximize the growth, development, and functioning of our clients; to expand each individual's capabilities and quality of life; and to build future leaders, responsible adults, parents, and productive citizens. Our Values include: (1) a strong commitment to maintain and strengthen families, (2) an emphasis on respectful and supportive relationships, (3) honesty and moral integrity, (4) a trust network among staff, youth, families, and agencies, (5) community service and involvement, (6) adherence to the highest safety, professional, ethical, accreditation, licensing, treatment, and care standards, (7) a qualified and committed staff, (8) financial viability through cost-effective management, and (9) an organizational culture of learning and service.

We have a remarkable core staff of individuals who help us accomplish our mission and vision. Quality staff training and support at all levels is highly valued. We approach the treatment and care of youth from the point of view that the most crucial issue is that of relationships. We foster a relationship model and help our staff and youth build on positive aspects of supportive relationships by providing nurturing and security together with the clinical assistance and structured care that gives young people the skills and attitude they need to take positive control of their lives. We desire to recover young lives, strengthen families and restore hopefulness through trust, responsibility, and hard work.
